With the three day weekend approaching many of us are preparing to travel but for those of us who are looking for things to do right in Boston I've created a top five to do's this weekend. I'm sure everyone will enjoy a family/friend cookout but, why not do something fun and free in addition to that!
1) Memorial Day at the Lawn on D which, is an interactive space provided to bring all the
communities of Boston together. This is a great space to have some drinks, enjoy great food from several vendors, and join in on some great lawn games. This weekends themes are Southie Saturday and Sunday Fun day. All ages are welcome between 12 pm and 10 pm. For more detailed info click on the hyper link above.
2) Memorial Day Open House will be hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts. All ages are

welcome to attend for FREE! " Enjoy activities inspired by “Frida Kahlo and Arte Popular.” Watch a musical performance with Zaira Meneses and her band Son Jarocho, catch an interactive bilingual performance for families, take a tour, and join in on art making and hula hooping! " There's so much more so be sure to visit their site for a detailed layout of the day and RSVP as soon as possible because this event is first come first serve.
3) Adventure Playground Memorial Day Prelaunch is a great event for families with children

ages 5 and up. This unique playground takes you back to childhood before technology and playground structures. When all you had were scraps and your imagination. If you're interested in introducing your children to Adventure Play or would like more info please click the link above.
4) Memorial Day @ The Institute of Contemporary Art is offering FREE admission for all at both

the ICA and the ICA Watershed on Memorial Day. For more details click the link above. The shuttle bus to the ICA Watershed is first come first serve so be sure to get to the ICA starting at 10 am to retrieve tickets.
5) Memorial Day Parades listed below. Please click for detailed information.

I hope you found this list helpful! Let me know in the comments what you plan to do this weekend!
