Have I ever mentioned How much I love playdates?
Yea, well I’m telling you again they are awesome! Kai and Josiah don’t see each other often but when they do they play so well with one another as if they see each other everyday! Seeing them grow from babies to talking toddlers that have little conversations with one another is mind blowing and so funny.
BAM Kids Film Festival This past weekend we had a play date with Kai and his mommy. Around noon we met up at the BAM Kids Film festival. Although we didn’t watch any of the films they were showing the kids still had a great time! They had green screens where we were able to view ourselves on tv with the background of our choice. There was a wagon full of balls and other fun stuff so kids were able to run around and play with the objects provided. They had interactive games and walkabout entertainers . After 2pm the real fun began with live performances! There was a very talented juggler and hand to hand acrobats from TheMuseBrooklyn which, the kids were so amazed by. Move(NYC) performed several dance segments and then invited kids from the audience to join them. Kai went up and danced his butt off Josiah however, was too busy eating popcorn LOL!!

Food Halls Are Life!
We ended up having lunch at Gotham Market which, is a food hall with options from Bolivian cuisine to happy hour bar specials and coffee.
We enjoyed a little of everything and I indulged in a nice cocktail. What I love about bringing my kids to food halls is there is plenty of space with serveral food options. They can also be themselves without having to abide by proper restaurant etiquette. Us mamas intended to catch up on everything we've missed in eachothers lives however, we couldn't hear eachother over our childrens laughter and loud conversation.
Playgrounds Are The Answer! We ended the day at the playground. As soon as we unbuckled those stroller seat belts they boys were off! They roamed the playground from one slide to the next. They enjoyed throwing leaves up in the air and chasing each other around without a care in the world.
Kai's mom Mai and I were able to finally catch up! I truly enjoyed catching up with her and sharing laughs as we chased the boys all around the park. It was nice to be able to vent, share wins, advice, and just enjoy our children loving each others company. I also met another mom while there who shared her struggle of making mom friends. If you're a mom who thought you were alone in the struggle of making good mommy connections just know you're not alone. I don't know about them but Mai and I are ready for the next playdate!
I highly recommend playdates for parents and their children!
