MY WHY!

Beginning This Journey

When I first decided to become a blogger I had no idea what this journey would entail.

Believe it or not, I put it off for almost two years, out of fear that no one would be interested in what I had to say. I was overwhelmed with self-doubt and I let it get the best of me. That all changed when I started having conversations with other people about their lives and started receiving questions about motherhood and all of the things I do with my kids.  I realized that it was my moral obligation to share my knowledge and views on certain topics. I felt very strongly about this because sharing what I have learned isn't about me. It's really about the value I would add to the lives of others. The first thing I decided was to start posting on Instagram to see how others would react to my posts. I immediately received an overwhelming amount of love and support! It was at that point I realized there really was a real  need for my message.

The Purpose of My Blog

The purpose of my blog was originally to share information on enriching activities and events to do with your children. It has since transformed, and will continue to grow, into a gold mine for parenting, self-development, and authentic connections.

I am passionate about a few things at this moment. I want to encourage millennial parents to change the trajectory of parenting. There's often a cycle of trauma inflicted at some point and then, unfortunately, it is passed on generation after generation. As parents, we may not be perfect but we can definitely take the appropriate steps to improve our mindsets and heal our traumas, so that we can parent more efficiently and effectively. I always say, "give your kids a childhood they don't have to recover from as adults."

We're Building A Supportive Community

I am building an all inclusive community where mothers, fathers, caregivers, and aspiring parents can to come for answers to questions they didn't expect to come up in while parenting. I don't have all the answers. No one does!  But I can answer MANY of your questions. And I will most certainly find someone who can answer any remaining questions you may have that I can't answer. And it's a supportive community effort! So if you know the answer, then feel free to chime in.

And We're In This Together

Being a parent looks so simple in movies, on social media, and even just on the outside looking in. Doesn't it? It's not until you become a parent that you realize the journey of parenthood is so much more than just having children. It affects every aspect of your life -- from relationships, to mental and physical health, financials, and your overall well-being. It's crucial to have a community or tribe of people that can help you navigate through the ups and downs of this journey from the very beginning to the end.

Most importantly, my ultimate goal is to provide you with resources and information on what to do with your kids when the WeekENDS!

We're in this together, so cheers 🥂 to the WeekEND!!!
